The Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Michigan, College of Engineering, is seeking highly qualified applicants for a full time Lecturer III position, renewable annually, starting Fall 2009. This is a non tenure-track position. Criteria for renewal are excellence in classroom teaching and curricular development and service. Duties will include: Teaching and course development for biomedical engineering laboratory classes and a variety of undergraduate biomedical engineering classes, including biomechanics; teaching in biomedical engineering capstone design courses; undergraduate advising; assisting or lead effort in analyzing ABET and other accreditation data.
Final hiring approval is subject to administrative approval.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering or related disciplines in engineering and science; strong written and oral communication skills are essential.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience in teaching in biomedical engineering laboratory courses; experience with ABET.
