Programs

The University of Michigan Biomedical Engineering department is among the top academic programs in the country. U-M BME is one of the largest BME graduate program in the U.S. and has awarded more graduate degrees than any other BME department in the country. BME has over 200 undergraduate students in the BS program and over 200 students in the graduate program. U-M BME is accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET), one of only 41 BME Departments to achieve ABET accreditation. For 2009 US News and World Report ranked BME #7 overall in undergraduate education and in 2007 the BME program at Michigan ranked #10 in graduate education.
