Dave Kohn Receives Distinguished Scientist Award
Biomedical Engineering professor and professor of dentistry in the Department of Biologic and Materials Sciences, Dave Kohn received the International Association for Dental Research’s Isaac Schour Memorial Award. Dr. Kohn was also named a Fellow of the International Union of Societies for Biomaterials Science and Engineering. Please check the U-M school of dentistry website for the full article.

Upper Midwest Biomaterials Day at UM, May 12-13
The University of Michigan is hosting an Upper Midwest Biomaterials Day to bring together biomaterials scientists from the region. This student-oriented meeting will be a great chance to network and exchange ideas about biomaterials research and education, in both industry and academia. The meeting will feature talks from leading researchers in the region, keynote talks from Dr. David Mooney and Dr. Tony Atala, as well as a tour of a local medical device manufacturing facility.
